Wpc54v WPC54G V2 I realized after posting that I could go with a wired internet connection and download the files that way instead of using the live cd. The wireless card is recognized.
I called tech support and they said wpc54g v2 does not support AES. My desktop has bit installed and this laptop has bit installed. I uninstalled the linksys driver, and the whole card powers off – which is probably what it is suppose to do.
Between their website, userguide, software, as well as all their retail channel partners listing AES as a supported protocol, you’re destined to purchase the card and be disappointed once you attempt to configure AES.
The confirmation is unfortunate, but not unexpected from Linksys. That would begreat, because it’s only 1.
