Virtual COM Port Drivers
Ftddi drivers may be distributed in any form as long as license information is not modified. I’m using self powered configuration, so the chip gets its power from USB port directly. Sample output snippets with two ftdi devices connected Bus Device Sign up or log in Sign up using Google.
Knee-jerk response would be it looks like you may not have ftdl decoupling.
On Windows I got “This device cannot be started” and on Linux some similar errors but no successful connect. Without this there is no power at all on the pins of the chip.
There is no way for these devices to ever be “removed”, “disconnected”, or moved to a different physical USB location. Now I’m wondering what else could I check. Default decoupling practice should be one 0.
When you say it’s almost the same it’d be worth including a schematic of what you built. Ryan 1 6 You might want to double check that.
